CBX bears the closest resemblance to the towers of New York and was the result of our collaboration with New-York firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates. The project helped to revitalise La Défense and complement urban development in the district. This original building is raised on stilts to leave an open ‘Plaza’ which connects the La Défense business district and Courbevoie. Designed in the shape of a ship’s prow, the combination of both straight and curved façades means that the tower is permanently bathed in natural light. This development’s strengths lie in its high-end architecture, considered integration into its surroundings and the flexibility and comfort of its internal spaces. The tower has also been designed to ensure maximal energy performance.
